Welcome to the March 2025 edition of the Invest Sunshine Coast enews.

Hot off the press is the announcement of $10 billion in new game-changing infrastructure projects for the Sunshine Coast. It is being reported that all projects will be delivered in the lead up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games!

Part of the estimated spend will be more than $1 billion on a new Athlete Village, arena venue and integrated cultural precinct right in the heart of Maroochydore, which happens to be the newest master-planned and most digitally connected city centre in Australia.

A new state-of-the-art public transport solution dubbed 'The Wave' will extend rail access from Beerwah in the south west to Birtinya on the coast. Heading north, a new seamless public transport corridor will be created connecting through Maroochydore up to Sunshine Coast Airport.

The Sunshine Coast Stadium will be expanded as will the Sunshine Coast Mountain Bike Centre.

Sunshine Coast Council has driven the planning and design for these initiatives for many years, ensuring they deliver lasting benefits for the region.

Add this $10 billion investment to the fact that one in 10 Australians are choosing to move to the Sunshine Coast, it's really looking like smart businesses might benefit from having a Sunshine Coast location!
