In yet another great achievement for the Sunshine Coast, the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) has again recognised the region as one of the international Smart21 Communities. That's the ninth time the coast has received the gong in 10 years! 

This award is a testament to the Sunshine Coast region's commitment to leveraging technology, innovation and connectivity.

It also adds to the announcement last year of the Sunshine Coast as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, which recognises the region's sustainable approach to growth and the value given to its people and places. 

Bolstered by the Sunshine Coast International Broadband Network, Queensland’s fastest direct international data and telecommunication connection to global markets, the Maroochydore CBD continues mark growth milestones.

The newest commercial building, A1, opened this month, counting an international tech company as its anchor tenant, alongside accountants, design firms and specialist eateries.
