Hi there
Continued strong and diversified economic growth has seen the development of a number of new and greatly anticipated hotel projects slated for the Sunshine Coast.
The hotel projects are located in all parts of the region, in both commercial and leisure precincts.
Maroochydore CBD's first hotel opened in May this year and up-and-coming Queensland hotel developer Kenneth Wagner chose Mooloolaba to build a high-end hotel project, partnering with international hotel brand Avani.
Demand for hotel product represents opportunities for investors, especially in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games where there is a still an estimated demand for 1800 new hotel rooms at varying price points to meet the market.
The Sunshine Coast will be taking an active role in hosting events across multiple venues and the Maroochydore CBD will be home to a satellite athletes’ village. The region's ongoing hosting of high end major sporting and cultural events across the year, such as the Mooloolaba Triathlon and Horizon Festival, continue to drive accommodation demand outside the traditional holiday seasons.
