The Sunshine Coast’s unique investment proposition is strengthening day to day, as you will see from this month's Invest Sunshine Coast update.
Until now, commercial and industrial land parcels have been hard to come by on the Sunshine Coast, but that's all changed this month with two high profile releases.
First, Sunshine Coast Airport has released retail, commercial and industrial development opportunities within its new Gateway Precinct. This release is a major milestone that will unlock new business investment and employment opportunities within one of the region's most important economic gateways.
Second, and adding to the momentum, Sunshine Coast Council and Economic Development Queensland have announced a partnership that will deliver a release of much-needed industrial land across two of the region's key employment precincts: Coolum Industrial Estate and Sunshine Coast Industrial Park (Caloundra).
And, in the now well-established and still growing Maroochydore City Centre, a range of commercial tenants have moved into 50 First Avenue; Walker Corporation's premium new 15-storey commercial tower. The ocean and hinterland views from each floor are breathtaking and teams are counting themselves lucky to be working in such an iconic and beautiful building.
Meanwhile, the Sunshine Coast's growing reputation for delivering world-class infrastructure has been recognised with McNab winning the Commercial Construction $60-million-plus category at the 2026 Queensland Professional Excellence in Building Awards for its delivery of the (also newly opened) Maroochy Private Hospital.
Together, these developments demonstrate the confidence that investors, developers and businesses continue to place in the region, reinforcing the Sunshine Coast as a leading destination for investment, innovation and growth.
