It’s DOUBLE GOLD for the Sunshine Coast business story!!!🥇🥇

The "Give your Business a Boost of Vitamin SC" videos and campaigns have won two gold awards from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).

The Vitamin SC video series follows the entertaining story of Cam - a rather cynical, inner-city manager - as he discovers the benefits of locating his business on the Sunshine Coast.

In other news this month, Sunshine Coast Council's 20-year Regional Economic Development Strategy (REDS) for sustainable economic growth is marking its 10th anniversary.

 

The outcomes to date are impressive and the plans for the future are exciting. 

  • The Sunshine Coast is now one of Australia’s strongest regional economies with a
    $21 billion economy, up from $13 billion in 2013.

  • Since 2018, almost 17,000 new high value jobs have been created, with high value industries providing a total of 92,000 employment opportunities. 

  • The REDS has been refreshed this year with a new five-year implementation plan.

The University of the Sunshine Coast has improved its global ranking position by 22%: graduates and students have rated it Australia's number one public university for overall postgraduate student experience and second best nationwide for undergraduates.
