Hi there

This year has seen many highlights for the Sunshine Coast economy. The Maroochydore city centre has expanded further, more new innovative businesses have established a presence and local businesses are achieving major expansion milestones.

The Regional Economic Development Strategy (REDS) 2022-23 Annual Report shone a light on the region's resilient economy, with its $20.9 billion GRP, employment growth of 8.1% and a 4.8% increase in consumer spending in the local region (year on year to June 2023).

Plus with the announcement of the REDS 2013-2033 Refresh and Five-Year Implementation Plan 2023-2028, the future trajectory of our high-value industries and emerging opportunities is looking bright!
