The health and wellbeing industry is booming on the Sunshine Coast, propelled by the development of the $5 billion Sunshine Coast Health Precinct, Australia’s largest health infrastructure project.

The Sunshine Coast Health Precinct is the largest health infrastructure project currently being developed in Australia.

Anchored by the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, the Sunshine Coast Health Institute, the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital and the Health Hub, it also has a growing town centre offering prime investment opportunities.

State-of-the-art teaching hospital 

The Sunshine Coast University Hospital and the Sunshine Coast Health Institute provide a world class public hospital and state-of-the-art tertiary facility.

The Sunshine Coast University Hospital opened in 2017 with 450 beds and will expand to 738 beds and 4600 staff by 2021.

The Sunshine Coast Health Institute is providing research and medical training, to create a robust and future-ready health industry workforce.
